“FPM 41” was published by the PLMJ Foundation in 2019, with texts by Joaquim Moreno, Patrícia Barbas and Ricardo Bak Gordon. Dedicated to the design and construction of the FPM 41 tower in Lisbon, this book addresses various issues related to architecture, urbanism and public space in general, and in particular the impact of this building on the city of Lisbon where it is located.
As Patrícia Barbas points out: “The design of the square and the new gardens redefines the elements and scenarios that link the building to its surroundings - the alignments and topographical differences of the neighbourhood - while offering guidelines for the transformation of the space towards its public enjoyment,” and refers to the typology of this building, specially designed for companies, as “very important in contemporary societies”. Constructive rationality, compositional flexibility, environmental comfort and good energy performance are central aspects of the project". The book also includes drawings and images of the project and the different phases of the Tower’s construction.
