We support and promote emerging artists

The PLMJ Foundation selects the initiatives and programmes it supports with clear objectives: to promote artistic education and intellectual development, while fostering the conditions for emerging artistic talent to flourish.

Every year, we review and evaluate a selection of eligible projects. Some of these are developed by the Foundation itself, while others arise from requests submitted to the Foundation that align with our vision and intervention strategy.

Reflecting the founder's natural area of expertise, there is also a pillar of specialised pro bono legal support in the cultural sector.

Some examples of the Foundation's patronage and social and cultural commitment include:

  • Annual art acquisition programme
  • Publication of books and catalogues
  • Programme of guided tours
  • Donations of works of art to public and non-profit organisations
  • Organisation of conferences and forums for artistic and cultural reflection
  • Partnerships with leading organisations
  • Organising exhibitions in Portugal and internationally
  • Lending works of art for exhibitions in collaboration with various Portuguese and international public and private cultural institutions
  • Organising an annual programme for PLMJ staff and their families
This selection is in line with the work of PLMJ, the founder of the Foundation, in its commitment to social impact and organisational values.
