Vera Mota

Vera Mota (Porto, 1982) holds a degree in fine arts – sculpture and a master's in contemporary artistic practices from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. She lives and works in Porto.
Her solo exhibitions include SEM CORPO/DISEMBODIED (Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto) and Contornar (Galeria Municipal do Porto). She has participated in group exhibitions such as the Lisbon Contemporary Art Biennale and O Corpo como Lugar (Museum of Contemporary Art of Elvas).
She has contributed to publications such as Art and the Body and Performative Sculptures and has taken part in performance programs at Matadero (Madrid, Spain) and SESC (São Paulo, Brazil).
 Her work is included in major collections, such as the State Contemporary Art Collection of Portugal, the Serralves Foundation Collection, and the PLMJ Collection.
