Susana Guardado

Susana Guardado (Lisbon, 1971) lives and works in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She attended the sculpture and advanced visual arts courses at Ar.Co and the drawing course with master sculptor Anjos Teixeira in Sintra. In 2007 she participated in the Sítio das Artes residency of the State of the World programme at the Centre for Modern Art of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She has shown her work in various solo and group exhibitions at Maus Hábitos, Porto; Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, Lisbon; Galeria Lago, Museu da República, Rio de Janeiro; Galeria a Gentil Carioca, Rio de Janeiro; Galeria 3+1 Arte Contemporânea, Lisbon; the Berardo Museum Collection, Lisbon; Galeria ARTFIT, Lisbon; Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro; Sala do Veado, Museu de História Natural, Lisbon; Centro Cultural Emérico Nunes, Sines; Centro de Artes Visuais, Coimbra, among other institutions and galleries. Her work is represented in the collections of the PLMJ Foundation and other private collections.
