Susana Anágua was born in Lisbon in 1976. She has an MA in Digital Arts from the University of the Arts London (Camberwell College of Arts) and a degree in Plastic Arts from the School of Arts and Design (ESAD) in Caldas da Rainha, where she has been teaching since 2009.
Her solo exhibitions include Olhar Radar, Rio de Janeiro (2012), and Desnorte/Northless, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's Modern Art Centre, Lisbon (2008).
Her public intervention installations include the 2010 installation project Carris Arte em Movimento at the Ascensor da Glória, Lisbon, and the project carried out as part of the commemoration of the election of the 7 Wonders of Portugal at the Batalha Monastery (2008).
Among artists' residencies and biennials, the most notable in 2013 were Invisible Journeys, with the support of DGARTES for the São Tomé and Príncipe Biennial; artistic coordination of the international residency OFFLINE at LARGO Residências in Lisbon; and participation in Transient - Between Albums and Archives (Xerem and Triangle Networks) at Largo Residências, Lisbon (2012).
