Rui Fonseca

Rui Fonseca (Coimbra, 1960) graduated in equipment design from the E.S.B.A.L. in 1998 and is currently a visual arts teacher in secondary schools in Figueira da Foz, where he lives. Since 1991 he has been exhibiting both individually and collectively, most notably in the exhibitions Portugal 1890-1990 - Europália 1991 at the Provincial Museum of Photography in Antwerp and Olho por olho - Uma história da Fotografia 1839-1992 at the Ether Gallery in Lisbon. In addition to the National Photography Collection, his work is represented in the collections of AFCA - Encontros da Imagem in Braga and the law firm PLMJ in Lisbon.
