Rosa Almeida

Rosa Almeida was born in Lisbon (1966), where she still lives and works. She holds a degree in Art History from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1990) and a Master's in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, UCL, London. She has been exhibiting regularly since the late 1980s, both individually and collectively, at venues and events such as Galeria Diferença, Lisbon; Galeria Monumental, Lisbon; Museu do Chiado, Lisbon; John Weber Gallery, New York; Galeria Cesar, Lisbon; Culturgest, Porto; Casa das Artes de Tavira; Galeria Presença, Porto; Whitechapel, London; Pavilhão Branco at the Museum of Lisbon, Lisbon; Museo Arte Comporáneo Union Fenosa, A Coruña; Galeria Luís Serpa, Lisbon; Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin; Museu de Serralves, Porto. His works are included in the collections of the Chiado Museum, the Andratx Cultural Centre, Palma de Mallorca, the Serralves Museum, the Carmona
