Chilean artist Roberto Santandreu was born in Milan (1948) and showed an early interest in photography. He worked as an assistant to the photographer Tito Vásquez. In 1973 he left his country to work in Oslo and London. In 1975 he settled in Lisbon, where he set up his own photography studio. He has been exhibiting his work regularly since 1996. He received an Honourable Mention in Photography at the 8th Biennial of Plastic Arts in the city of Montijo in 2005.
