Rita Sobral Campos (Lisbon, 1982) lives and works in New York. Her solo and group exhibitions include: 2022, Une communauté imaginée, Frac des Pays de la Loire, Nantes; 2020, O Trágico Destino Vertical, Kunsthalle Lisboa, Lisbon; 2015, short-shorts, with August Sander, Galerie Andreas Huber, Vienna; 2013, Tournament d'Objet, Charlottenborg Kunsthal, Copenhagen; 2012, Sunday Sessions, MoMA-PS1, New York; 2010, When your Lips are my Ears, our Bodies become Radios, Kunsthalle Bern, Bern; 2009, Anabasis: On Rituals of Homecoming, Ludwik Grohman Villa, Lodz; 2008, UNCLEHEAD, with Alexandre Singh, EDP Foundation, Lisbon; 2005, Structural Schizophrenia and when lies became truth, Culturgest, Porto. She is co-founder of Sputnik & Fizzle, a non-profit publishing house dedicated to lectures, poetry and other interventions. Recent titles include works by Fred Moten, Divya Victor, Ed Steck, Zhou Sivan and Aditi Machado, among others.
