Rita GT (Porto, 1980) lives between Portugal and Angola. She holds a degree in communication design from the University of Porto and a postgraduate degree from Escola Maumaus, Lisbon. Her solo exhibitions include Return to Earth (Belo-Galsterer, Lisbon, 2017), Faces (Instituto Camões, Luanda, 2014), and AIR African Industrial Revolution (UNAP, Luanda, 2012). Notable group exhibitions include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (London, 2017), Tiwani Gallery (London, 2015), Museu do Chiado (Lisbon, 2013), and CCB Coleção Berardo (Lisbon, 2009). As co-founder of E-studio Luanda, she curated the Angolan Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale (2015) and participated in the 1st Lagos Biennial On the Edge (2017). Her work is held in collections such as the PLMJ Foundation, MNAC, and Instituto Camões. She received the Moving Africa Award (2013).
