Pedro Portugal (1963, PT) spent his early years on a rural property in Penamacor. He studied at the António Arroio School and graduated in Painting from ESBAL, where he served as president of the Student Association. He co-founded the Homeostética movement (1982) and the Ases da Paleta group (1989), making a name for himself in sculpture and multimedia art. Portugal developed the website for Jorge Sampaio's presidential campaign and the PP-ROM interface (1999). He has curated various exhibitions and cultural projects. With a Ph.D. from the University of Évora (2012), he is an assistant professor in Visual Arts. His works are part of public and private collections, including those of Queen Sonja of Norway and the PLMJ Foundation.
