Paulo Catrica (Lisbon, 1965) is a visual artist who studied Photography at Ar.Co and History at Universidade Lusíada. He holds a master’s degree in image and communication from Goldsmiths College and a PhD from the University of Westminster.
His notable solo exhibitions include El Solitario Jorge (2016), Fechar o Tempo (2015), and SUBTOPIA (2012). He has participated in various group exhibitions, including Uma Cidade de Futebol (2004) and Territoires at the Biennale Internationale des Arts Visuels (2008).
His works are part of collections such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the PLMJ Foundation. He has received research grants from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and awards such as the one from the Portuguese Photography Centre (1999).
