Nuno Cera

Nuno Cera (Beja, 1972) is a photographer and video artist based in Lisbon. He has completed artist residencies in Berlin (Künstlerhaus Bethanien), New York (ISCP), Paris (Récollets), and Macau (Babel & Fundação Oriente). His notable solo exhibitions include The Blur City (2019, Fundação Oriente, Macau), Hora Certa (2019, Galeria Miguel Nabinho, Lisbon), Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso (2016, Grand Palais, Paris), and Symphony of the Unknown (2016, Kunstraum Botschaft, Berlin).
In group exhibitions, he has participated in Álvaro Siza – IN/DISCIPLINA (2019, Serralves Museum, Porto), Haus Wittgenstein (2018, MAAT, Lisbon), Demo (2016, Akademie der Künste, Berlin), and the 8th International Photography Triennial (2010, Esslingen). In 2018, he was a guest artist representing Portugal at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
His work is part of collections such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the EDP Foundation, the PLMJ Foundation, and the State Contemporary Art Collection of Portugal, among others.
