Mauro Pinto

Moçambique

Mauro Pinto (Mozambique, 1974) lives and works in Mozambique. His notable solo exhibitions include A Cidade e as Margens, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon (2014), Dá Licença Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre, Maputo (2013), and Cement Cities Instituto Camões, Maputo, (2009).
In group exhibitions, he has participated in the Venice Biennale (2015), Rencontres de Bamako (2013), No Fly Zone (Berardo Museum, Lisbon, 2016), and Africa Now (Primo Marella Gallery, Milan, 2010).
He has received the BES Photo Award in 2012 and his works are part of significant collections such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the PLMJ Foundation, and the National Museum of Art of Mozambique.
