Maria Durão

Maria Durão (Foo, Portugal, 1999) lives and studies in Porto. She has participated in exhibitions such as O que pode um corps? at Cubicula (2022) and the ARCO Fair in Lisbon. In 2021, she took part in the Map Project between Murcia, Argentina, and Portugal and presented The Body Borrows a Revolver at Seismograph, Porto, as well as participating in the Drawing Room Fair, Lisbon. In 2022, she was an artist-in-residence at the Festival Súbito, Porto.
Academically, she attended Escola Artística Soares dos Reis (2015-2017) and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (2018-2022). Her work is included in the collections of Lisbon City Council and the Norlinda and José Lima Collection in São João da Madeira, as well as the PLMJ Foundation.
