Luís Nobre

Luís Nobre studied photography at ESAP from 1982-1985, taking part in intensive courses run by international artists such as Joan Fontcuberta. Dedicated to the promotion and teaching of photography in Portugal, he organised Fotoporto (1988-1990) and curated the exhibition Fotografias by Dieter Appelt. Co-editor of the magazine 'Confidências Para o Exílio' and co-founder of the bookshop Inc., he has participated in international seminars and exhibitions, won several grants, and his work, supported by foundations such as the Gulbenkian and Serralves, has been regularly exhibited in galleries and museums and is included in various public and private collections.
