Lino Damião

Lino Damião was born in Luanda in 1977. Encouraged by his father, he began drawing and painting at an early age, receiving his first award in 1989 – the Painting Prize from the National Union of Plastic Artists. He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions: 1ª Paragem: Lisboa 2012, I Literary Festival Rota das Letras in Macau 2012, Lisbon Contemporary Art Fair 2010, I Luanda Triennial 2007, among others.
His works are held in public and private collections in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, and the USA. Since 1992, he has also collaborated with the production company j.j.jazz in Luanda, organizing jazz concerts and painting and photography exhibitions on the same theme.
