João Paulo Bias

João Paulo Bias (1982) became a member of the Núcleo de Arte Association in 2002 as a self-taught artist in painting and ceramic sculpture. Since then, he has participated in art workshops and group exhibitions promoted by the Association and other organisations. He has been mentored by various artists, including Eugénio Saranga, João Fornasini, Victor Sousa, Celestino Mondlane and João Quehá. Since 2007 she has been working with the Communication and Image Department of the Polytechnic University as a cultural animator, co-producer and graphic designer for events such as book fairs, conferences, debates, cultural soirees, exhibitions and other events coordinated between the University and other institutions, namely the Institute of Economic and Social Studies (IESE), the Foundation for Community Development (FDC), the Art Centre (NA) and the Matalana Cultural Centre. She is currently responsible for organising workshops and annual painting exhibitions in coordination between the Art Centre and the Polytechnic University.
