João Grama

João Grama (Lisbon, 1975) lives and works in Lisbon. From 2005 to 2008, he attended Advanced Photography Studies at Ar.Co in Lisbon, and he is currently part of the Meisterschülerstudium Programme at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, Germany, with a scholarship from the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. He was nominated for the Young Artists EDP Award in 2015 and the European Photo Awards by the same foundation in 2010, with work exhibited in 2012 at venues including the Calouste Gulbenkian Centre in Paris and Deichtorhallen Kunst und Fotografie in Hamburg. That same year, he presented Ropes at Espaço Arte Tranquilidade in Lisbon.
In 2009, he was nominated for the Anteciparte award, with an exhibition at the Museu do Oriente in Lisbon.
