Joana Gomes

Joana Gomes (Lisbon, 1986) holds a degree and a master's in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Co-founder and member of the Tempos de Vista collective since 2008. She has received a grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation under the Programme to Support Artistic Development and Dissemination (2011) and support from the Rectorate of the University of Lisbon and CIEBA, in partnership with FCT, under the Tempos de Vista project. She has worked in museums and galleries as a production assistant and museum guide, namely at Galeria Baginski and MUDE. She has participated in various conference cycles on art and theory and taught an artistic lithography workshop at FBAUL. In 2011 she was part of the production team of Carpe Diem - Arte e Pesquisa and in 2004 she illustrated a book for Amnesty International. She currently teaches drawing at Odd School - Creative Media.
