Ihosvanny (Angola, 1975) lives and works between Barcelona and Luanda.
He is a self-taught artist who belongs to the generation of Angolan artists from Angola's post-independence period.
He has participated in solo and group exhibitions and art fairs in South Africa, Angola, Brazil, Cuba, USA, France, England, Italy, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and Uganda.
Among the exhibitions and contexts in which he has exhibited, the following stand out Jewish Museum, New York, 2014; Bahia Museum of Modern Art, Salvador, 2012; 11th Havana Biennial, Cuba, 2012; Luanda Triennial, 2010 and 2007; African Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale, 2007.
His work is represented in institutional and private collections such as the Sindika Dokolo Foundation, the Elipse Foundation and the PLMJ Foundation.
