Gabriel Garcia

Gabriel Garcia (Pico Island, Azores, 1977) lives and works in Lisbon. Between 1994 and 1995 he attended the Studio of Plastic Expression - Drawing and Painting - at the Ponta Delgada Academy of Fine Arts. She has a degree in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon and has attended various training courses, such as photography at Ar.Co and scientific illustration at FBAUL. Her artistic career includes several solo and group exhibitions and a number of awards, such as Fine Papers - PAPIES AWARDS 2011 - Honourable Mention for the print O meu Império fica num país distante; Fine Papers - PAPIES AWARDS 2010 - Honourable Mention for the print O Passeio das Almas; Raymon Menager Award, 63rd Salon des Artistes du Hurepoix, Paris, 2009; Artur Bual Painting and Sculpture Competition - Honourable Mention for the work God! Save America, Amadora, 2004. His works are in several private collections.
