Fabrízio Matos

Fabrízio Matos (Figueira da Foz, 1975) lives and works in Porto. He studied at the FBAUP, where he obtained a degree in painting and a master's degree in sculpture. He occasionally teaches painting and drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto. He is currently researching velatura, its processes and practices, as part of his PhD in Contemporary Art at the College of Arts in Coimbra. A prolific artist exploring painting, drawing, sculpture and photography, he has exhibited at the Museum of Natural History and Science in Lisbon in 2012, the Gongju International Festival at the Limlip Museum in South Korea in 2010 and 2011, the Mostra Internazionale in Milan in 2004, as well as other solo exhibitions in Portugal. His work is included in collections in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
