Daniel V. Melim (Coimbra, 1982) graduated in Fine Arts - Painting from FBAUL in 2006 and holds an MA in Applied Anthropology and Community and Youth Work from Goldsmiths College - University of London, supported by a Gulbenkian scholarship in 2016. He divides his time between painting, sound/performative projects, and creative mentoring for individuals and groups. These practices often intersect and are interwoven with community dynamics. His work explores the historical, emotional, ecological, and spiritual dimensions of creation. Represented in public and private collections, Melim has developed his work in Portugal and internationally, in countries such as Spain, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy.
