Dalila Gonçalves (Castelo de Paiva, 1982) lives and works in Porto. She holds a degree in Painting from FBAUP and a master's in Visual Arts Education from FBAUP and FPCEUP (University of Porto). She also completed the first year of her PhD at the same university. Gonçalves was selected for the second edition of the Photography Course in the Gulbenkian Programme for Creativity and Artistic Creation (2008). She has participated in artist residencies such as the KulturKontakt Programme (Vienna, 2017), Inclusartiz Residency (Rio de Janeiro, 2014), Pivô-Arte e Pesquisa (São Paulo, 2018), Fundación Marso (Mexico, 2020), and Projeto Fidalga (São Paulo, 2023).Her work is exhibited regularly in institutions and galleries across Europe, South America, and the USA, and is part of both public and private collections. Gonçalves has showcased her work at major art fairs including Arco Madrid, Zona MACO (Mexico), Arco Lisboa, Arte Rio, SPArte (Brazil), ArtBO (Colombia), ArtLima (Peru), Vienna Artfair, Artissima (Italy), and Untitled Miami, among others.
