Cátia Serrão (1975) studied photography at Ar.Co and linguistics at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She has been publishing and exhibiting in the fields of illustration and comics since the 1990s, taking part in projects linked to the Bedeteca de Lisboa and independent publishing. In the visual arts, she works with generic motifs in different media, such as drawing, photography and embroidery. She is currently working on the project Sujamos O que Limpamos, transforming images and texts from different sources to create forms and meanings.
