Carla Cruz is an artist and professor at EAAD-UMinho. Since 2007, she has been working with Ângelo Ferreira de Sousa to run the Associação de Amigos da Praça do Anjo, which advocates for everyone’s right to the city. Since 2019, she has led the study group Leituras Feministas in Porto, which seeks strategies to dismantle patriarchy and decolonise life and the arts. Since 2020, she has been developing a speculative artistic project on non-human temporalities with Cláudia Lopes. Carla was a co-founder of the feminist art intervention collective ZOiNA (1999-2004) and the Associação Caldeira 213 (1999-2002). Between 2005 and 2013, she was head of the feminist exhibition project All My Independent Wo/men, and from 2011 to 2021, she performed the daily project Finding Money with António Contador.
