António Homem Cardoso (São Pedro do Sul, 1945) is a self-taught photographer and writer.
His first photographs were published in the 1960s and he set up his studio in Lisbon in the 1970s.
He is the author of official portraits and portraits of political figures, artists and businessmen. Official photographer of the Portuguese Royal Family. He has published several books on Portuguese cultural heritage and is a member of the Portuguese Society of Authors. He currently teaches various photography courses and has published 70 books of photography, some of them abroad. His 40-year career was celebrated in Lisbon in 2007 with the exhibition of part of his collection at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes.
