Ana Vidigal (Lisbon, 1960) holds a degree in painting from the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes de Lisboa and was a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation grant holder (1985-1987).She has been exhibiting individually since 1981 (selected shows): Casa dos Segredos, IST, Lisbon; Estilo Queen Anne, Baginski Galeria/Projetos, Lisbon; Cine Mar(a)vil(h)a - videos, Teatro Praga, Lisbon. She represented Portugal at the Sharjah Biennial in 2009. Her first anthological exhibition was held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 2010, titled Menina Limpa, Menina Suja. Selected public and private collections: Banco de Portugal, Novo Banco, CAM/Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Culturgest, the Berardo Collection, the Deutsche Bank Collection, the Manuel de Brito Collection, the Serralves Foundation, the PLMJ Foundation, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Elvas, Lisbon Metro, and the Chiado Museum.
