Américo Silva

Américo Silva (Vila Franca de Xira, 1930) was a draughtsman at the Ministry of Public Works and a member of the Exhibitions and Museography Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
He distinguished himself as a graphic designer and museographer with projects at the National Museum of Iraq and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
A co-founder of several design and art associations, he has directed municipal galleries in Vila Franca de Xira. In 2017, he was honoured by APOM in the category of 'Personality in the Field of Museology'.
