Alice Geirinhas

Alice Geirinhas (Évora, 1964) lives and works in Lisbon. She completed a course in sculpture and a master’s in contemporary artistic practices at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP), and a doctorate in Contemporary Art at the Colégio das Artes at the Universidade de Coimbra. She has taught in Illustration (ACARTE and Ar.Co) and in Design and Multimedia Drawing and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, and at FBAUL. She has exhibited regularly since the 1980s, with her first solo exhibition in 1995, A nossa necessidade de consolo é impossível de satisfazer at Galeria Zé dos Bois, Lisbon.
